We recently completed a full driveway transformation for Martin, turning a large, tired outdoor space into a clean, durable, and visually striking entrance to his home.

The project began with a full site assessment and ground preparation. Given the size of the driveway, proper excavation and installation of a strong sub-base were essential to ensure long-term durability. We carefully removed the existing surface, levelled the area, and installed a high-quality MOT Type 1 foundation, mechanically compacted to provide maximum stability and prevent future movement or sinking.

For the main surface, Martin chose a smooth, professionally laid tarmac finish. Tarmac is an excellent option for large driveways due to its strength, cost-effectiveness, and clean appearance. Our team installed it with precision, ensuring proper drainage gradients and a seamless, even finish throughout.

To elevate the overall look and add definition, we incorporated block paved edgings around the perimeter. These were carefully selected to complement the property and provide a sharp contrast to the tarmac surface. The edging not only enhances the visual appeal but also acts as a structural restraint, helping to maintain the integrity of the driveway over time.
